  • About: Chandiramani’s Behind Every Man explores themes of female power and nurturing of life. She uses imagery of the female anatomy, coupled with ancient symbols of womanhood, to demonstrate that women provide the ultimate source of energy. Tony the Tiger sits as a yogi on a lotus flower, a symbol of purity, and in this case, the seat of the Divine. Tony holds a breast in his right hand – in Taoist texts, it was believed that breasts emit medicinal fluids to relax the body and mind, causing energy to flow. Behind Tony’s head, acting as the Crown chakra, is a Yoni – the single source of his, and humankind’s, energy. The Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus and Heart chakras run down his body. Sanskrit letters surround him on left and right, the sounds of the universe stimulated by feminine energy. Above the Frosties logo is Chinese text from a Hong Kong Frosties box.
