RIYA CHANDIRAMANI

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Indian painter Riya Chandiramani explores bold ideas present in today’s society with intricacy and wit. As a result of her culturally rich upbringing, notions of East meets West are prominent in Chandiramani’s work – a pastiche of traditional and pop-culture references. With a mission to bridge dated practices with modern concepts, Chandiramani challenges constructs and ideals that keep our civilisation divided. The artist’s recent shows include a group exhibition with Young Soy Gallery, titled Delirium (2022), as well as a collaborative display of her works at the 2022 Affordable Art Fair in New York City.
